Useful Links: Don't get lost on the way to those meetings with useful Maps, download Adobe, find a phone number... Norwood Park closed in 2002. The website still remains! The site was first used to house Crown Lane and after that the new Elmgreen Secondary School. Now Lambeth are considering that they need another primary school in the area. There you go! Forward planning as ever

Effra Primary Effra School. Tremendous work by a school at the centre of Brixton. The schoolclosed in 2002 and the site sold. The website still exists!

Of course, as long as night follows days, primary place shortages follow from school closures. Now a new school is needed in the area......

Thurlow Park Thurlow Park closedfive years ago, but its website remained. . Whatever our view on foundation schools, we opposed its closure. The site is now part of what will be used for the permanebt Elmgreen School

Mostyn Gardens virtual school Mostyn Gardens - a school no longer - just a virtual school?

The site was given over to Durand Primary school. We leave it to you to judghe whether that was a smart move or whether a local authority community primary school would have served the immediate area.

It is quite extraordinary that even though schools have closed, their web-sites remain years afterwards, in some cases even updated by the web-masters (who may not have been told about the school's closure)
We've decided to link to these sites, some of which are quite advanced considering they must have been constructed before schools were in any way resourced for such ventures

Closed in 1989. It still exists on the web!!
