It's not just the BNP

The failure of the British economy is the fault of those in power, not those in society who contribute to this country, but get scant reward.

There are those who blame the banks, the capitalist system, greedy spivs and all the rest. There are those who think that it a problem of immigration.

Given that every serious investment into the British economy - transport, health, education and construction requires immigrant labour, balming immigrants, as has re3cetly been suggested by Phil Woolas MP couyldn't be further from the truth.

Clearly the American electorate didn't believe such rubbish as they elected their first black president! But unfortunately there are some closer to home who need educating

The National Assembly Against Racism (NAAR) was formed in the early 90s after the rise of the fascist BNP became apparent, but considers that opposition to the BNP is not enough.

Racism eminates in a society such as Britain because of our imperialist past. Britain has a legacy of maintaining white supremacy within its culture, including its view of history, the curriculum right through to employment practices that have oiperated on the basis of their being a 'glass ceiling'.

NAAR has recognised the threat of the BNP and helped create UAF and remains within UAF till this day.

But the MP who blames the asylum seeker, the minister who thinks that homes are for 'British' peolple sends out a message that is loved by the fascists.
Oppose the BNP!

The LTA supports UAF in particular, not just because it attempts to unite all anti-fascist, but also because it neither capitulates to the Labour bureaucracy or to islamaphobia.

This doesn't mean that there aren't other anti-racist organisations either locally or nationally, but that in order to deal with fascism, it is important that all the community are involved, especially when ensuring that the fascists are outvoted in any election they try to stand.
